What is The Atheist Experience?

The Atheist Experience is a weekly cable access television show in Austin, Texas geared at an atheist and non-atheist audience. The Atheist Experience is produced by the Atheist Community of Austin (ACA), a nonprofit educational corporation to develop and support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing and friendship, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of state-church separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists and to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals.

I don't understand why people celebrate xmas to begin with. It has nothing to do with the Son of God. Atheists who want to take away xmas are not taking anything that wasn't already pagan to begin with. Let them have it.

Christmas is an unchristian holiday. The War on Christmas people are worshiping a false idol. The Bible does not instruct us to observe Christ's birth. Christ was not born in December. Christmas is really Saturnalia, a holiday that is celebrated with drunken gay orgies.

You War on Christmas people want to force CHILDREN to celebrate this UNCHRISTIAN holiday and GO TO HELL.

@fugdkn Well, yeah, you shouldn't steal other peoples stuff from their property. That's not kind at all. What I thought you meant is that people kill Christmas by choosing different words when they greet you on your Christmas etc. and calling them warriors against Christmas. How people greet you is their business and I don't believe they intend to destroy your Christmas.

@Censeo not like that i just mean the people who get mad about stupid things like signs saying merry Christmas because it's too religious or what not or people stealing baby jesus and stuff and by taking things away like the nativity and undermining the reason the festival started in a way is taking christianity from the religion but i admit a better way of saying it would have been saying people losing the true meaning of christmas or something like that

Christian celebrations all get tainted one way or another beacause they have been left open to the community to celebrate but now people try to take away the real meaning of why it started and try to claim it as there own. IF you look Easter was given bunny's and eggs and christians aren't starting wars and hallow eve turned into halloween and xmas has been stuffed with santa sodont be greedy

I like the fact that people who get offended by the word marry Christmas aren't the Jews or atheists but the Christens. It's hilarious because I turned Atheist 2 years ago, and even back then I didn't get offended by it. I just said "Happy Holidays".

Christmas (or the Winter Festival, to give it a more secular name) is a humanist holiday. It's about the joy of giving and sharing, compassion for your fellow human being. Just because some Church in the 19th century tried to corrupt it into a Christian holiday (and failed, might I add) doesn't mean we should scrap the whole thing entirely.
