Jerry Butler - You Make Me Feel Like Someone

The second single Jerry released on Mercury Records in late 1966. Jerry had gone from doo-wop to pop on Vee-Jay, and this record along with it's early '67 follow-up, 'I Dig You Baby' showed Jerry had firmly become a Soul Singer. The early Mercury sides were the ones that earned him the 'Ice Man' moniker. Easy to see why. This is a soulful song that showed the world how smoooooth and mellow Jerry can be. Just the right edge to it. Another superb Jerry Butler cut often overlooked. Enjoy.
