really that really is what they are called. I'm not kidding. Cracker horses. They are wild, live on Payne's prairie and they are descended from the spanish horses

  • Hi there! I'd love to know where you filmed it.

    Florida Cracker Horses were named that because the very first Cowboys in the US were the Spanish that brought the stock that evolved into this type of horse (which is especially suited to being in Florida's heat and wet swamps.) The Spaniards always used bullwhips to work their cattle along - which make a loud crack when whlpped - so they were "Crackers." Their horses - Cracker Horses.
