Somehow I don't think this is what Madison, Hamilton, et al. had in mind when mandating a census every decade. That people, probably not "bad" people, so readily accept falsifying records is not encouraging. Thanks for the post.

I wasn't outraged as much by the stealing, as the fact these clowns are getting paid $18/hour to walk around and ring door bells. Seriously???

This just documents standard practice in every training program throughout government and private/corporate employment, though in fact, government is less "guilty" of it overall.

A lot of civil service jobs (not all) are just welfare for the middle classes.

When government jobs/money is involved fraud has becomes a matter of course. I have a friend who is on the doll and has been placed on a job centre course (which are a waste of time and money btw). They are told to leave early every day by the instructors and told to sign documents to claim for a full day. Every one knows its fraud but they all do it because they all benefit.
