You misunderstand CGA graphics. 16 colors are only available in text mode. Graphics modes usually only use 4 colors and they are preselected and are the ugliest colors you have ever seen in your life. High res is limited to 640x200.

you guys are awesome! I played the hell out of pharaohs tomb and Arctic adventure when I was a kid, never tried this one though. Time to fire up dosbox!
