I am blessed to live in the Netherlands, where home birth is very normal, and is almost expected of you, unless your doc thinks it's an unsafe option. I have no kids yet, but one day, I hope that they'll be born safely and gently at home, where they belong!

What a fantastic video. I have a couple of friends, three actually, who are pregnant right now; two first time moms and one mom with a previous c-section. I hope that they are making informed choices about their labour and delivery, choices that will empower them and help to ensure a delivery without unecessary complications.

What a wonderful movie! I'm 5 and a half weeks (yeah very early yet) and I'm researching MY birth options here in Australia.Unfortunately it's a very similar story here too.Midwives can get registered just not insurance if they're privately practicing.Go figure!!
