@unidad355 so if you look back you will clearly see the american auto industry had many many performance cars long before bmw was probably even in business,,now dont get me wrong..i am not knocking bmw Mercedes Audi and the rest...i am just sticking up for my own ,,bmw makes nice cars , but so do we .you can hate that fact but thats the way it is .

@unidad355 how many hipo cars does nissan offer?.or toyota or honda?..maybe 1 each??.how fast was a 1970 toyota or honda?..the american auto industry had many engineering first's that the rest of the world copied and benefited from .we had front wheel drive way back in the 1930's .supercharger's as well .fuel injection , 4speed auto tranny's in the 50's ,pdb ,400hp in the 50's 360hp front wheel drive , anti lock brakes in the 70's and air bags too

@unidad355 you had me thinking..no not 1 performance car..look a little deeper ..you can get stangs in a few different configurations..then the S,H,O.lincoln also offers an motor like the S.H.O,then you have the raptor..and ecoboost f150..look back at fords history ,,ford was winning races when no one knew what a bmw or nissan was .in fact ford offered every one of its car lines except Lincoln with a hipo offering since 1957 ,even if you bought a station wagon you could get a hipo motor

@unidad355 r u really compairing a bmw to a cavalier?..whats next a pinto to lexus?..no its not a coincidence,,shit does happen ..but a 93 blazer is no bench mark for automotive greatness ..i did say we got lazy..we also got back on our feet and have proven we have what it takes ..just some stubborn ppl are brain washed into thinking anything american is junk...not all of itl....anything massed produced on 4 wheels can and will break .a Mercedes to a camry ..no exceptions

@unidad355 cont>>,,in fact you proved my point of bmw ppl not liking this..its funny..the bmw crowd try to justify its inflated price by say ..well our bmw is loaded with the finest gadgets money can buy so thats were the money went..do you really need a seat warmer with a finger that pops up to scratch your ass?..i thought bmw was the driving machine?....maybe bmw should have spent the extra money on the driving machine its self instead of uneeded gadgets

@unidad355 i am with you on the wheels..i dont care for any of that ..i hate this trend of big wheels today and colors they use on them..i think you do care it beats the m3..infact i have a feeling it insults you like many others that the stang does this to such a status symbol as a refined world class car as a bmw ..even bmw owner's r up in arms over this..how dare the fat lazy americans make a car that can do this to our beloved over priced symbol of automotive success ..cont>>>

@unidad355 here we are again talking about nissan...good for them if they produce suck a car..but i will not own an import..maybe its hard for you to understand but i am american ..remember a thing a few years ago [9/11]?..well when that happened not one import car maker in my country did a dam thing for 9/11,,but the big 3 have..[ONLY ONE] foreign car maker did anything with the big 3..vw..my hats off to them for that ...toyota and the rest..nothing...the hell with them

@unidad355 ..did the thought ever cross your mind that the stang is not a luxury car..and never was..the stang was a street fighter and probably always will be..its not out to impress ppl on wall street or the country club..but seeing ford is one of the oldest car makers in the world and have built luxury cars since thg 1930's.i am sure ford could load down the stang with all kinds of uneeded gadgets to impress ppl..but again,,the stang is not about that.but its funny that it can outrun a bmw

@unidad355 many years ago??..really??..the mighty toyota tundra and tacoma suffer from frame rot on a 6 year old truck..is 6 years ago many years ago?/..maybe if you own a toyota 6 years is a long life expectancy , but not for an american truck..and seeing jeep and chevy ford dodge all outsell a nissan or toyota..you are most certainly will see more of them with trouble...thats like saying you see more camry's on the road then the 1958 edsel ...

@unidad355 you can do anything you want to a stang..and like i said for all the luxury and being a world class car..and having the latest in technology and engineering ,,and being equipped with an optional suspension , on top of having the benefit if independent rear suspension ..with all of this under its belt..[ and price]..a modest american car out preformed it..for 27k.you dam well better get a few more gadgets.bmw obviously didnt spend all the coin on engineering thats for sure.
