The Fog is a 1980 horror movie directed by John Carpenter, who also wrote the screenplay and composed the music of the film. The movie is a ghost story involving mysterious events, including gruesome murders, which accompany a strange, glowing fog that spreads over land and sea. The film inspired a 2005 remake, also called The Fog.

hollywood remade the fog in the same way as they remade my bloody valentine,friday the 13th+nightmare on elm street-THEY FUCKED IT UP!!

well,63 isn't too old.The great Mr. Carpenter has been the composer on many of his films,sometimes in collaboration with other musicians.His son Cody continues the family tradition of composing,having done the scores for both of his father's Masters of Horror episodes.And if you haven't seen it yet,the MOH episode "Cigarette Burns" is some awesome Carpenter work.
