The Nightmares marimba band play Funky Thong

This great group of kids from Kin Kin (Sunshine Coast hinterland, Qld, Australia) play marimbas (made by Mik Moore) and thongaphones (designed by Steve Langton). They are called "The Nightmares" and here they play a piece called Funky Thong ( http://linseypollak.com/wordpress/?page_id=116 )

great video omg! my only only question is what are you using for paddles on the tubes? my friend and i are building a pvc instrument and we're looking for paddles that give a distinct hit, but no slap...

@5648213 the easiest material is to get a pair of flip flops (called thongs in Australia)....or similar material

@NERDFREAKINGPOWER Dude, theyre like 10. If you've ever heard an average ten-year-old percussion section, you'll notice far worse technique than this. These guys had fantastic timing considering there was no conductor or metronome to direct them. I don't know about you, but I was impressed.
