  • @peterbiltexd mechanical (aprx 280 hp) cat) 7 speed, no trailer brake, no tach, They only had speedo, oil, water temp and air reservoir gauge and tractor and trailer protector/ parking air brake controls. Oh, and an air horn, wiper control and heater. NO a/c or mirror heaters or anything else but air seat . Top speed in 1990? 56-57 mph or unlimited, downhill in neutral. Just ask "Mouse"

  • I used to work across from there terminal in Kansas City in 1987 at the Mack Truck

dealership saw alot of those .

  • Aw man, thanks for posting this up! I've never driven for CF cuz of course, this was a time when I just barely got into trucking. It wasn't long after I started driving trucks when CF shut its' doors. I still remember driving down the highway and the conversation of CF shutting down for good was all over the CB frequency. If I remember correctly, it was late in 2001 when all this happened.

Anyway, this definitely brings back the memories.

  • "Lookin' good back that way, Cornflake" R.I.P. "Line of the Daysavers"...Damn the bastards that waited for Labor Day!!!!!

  • Silly freight hauler trucks, no jake brake, no horsepower to pull the moutain, Cf was awsome, could run 50 to 55 mph on dry pavement with diamonds, most trucking companies are gay, the son or grandson never drove truck, kick ass on the mountain despite a lousty 325 horsepower, in this day and age, lick my roids,. happy thanksgiving, you are considered gay if you do not have at least 400 horses to pull the grade.

  • My dad drove for cf locally growing up. I would get so excited if I saw a cf truck go by and would look to see if dad was inside! One time he took me inside and let me drive around the lot. It was a great place to work and he would bring us home cf safety badges- a reward for each year of accident-free driving. The friends we made from cf were great people and will last a lifetime, it really was recognized as a great union business with very honorable, hard working employees.

  • This is how freightliner started folks

  • IS IT A FLC 120

  • almost all my unvcles and my grandpa worked for em my grandfather was in charge of saftey for all of the company i got a feww smaller colectibles but wish i had a actual truck with pups

its nice to see a rig running thoe

  • I like the AC/DC intro/exit music...reminds me of Maximum Overdrive, lol
