  • My Partner has all of the symptoms of allergic rhinitis, but her allergy skin tests are always negative (three doctors, four tests over a three year period). Finally, the third allergist suggested she try Singulair. It has dramatically reduced her symptoms, which could be quite serious at times. She has not experienced any side effects.

  • I prescribe it for the concomitant treatment of pain. Remember that NSAIDs and COX-2 inhibitors do NOT block the formation of painful leukotriene agents! The American physicians are ignorant of this fact and only half-treat pain patients.

These types of leukotriene inhibitors are a necessity in pain treatment! No wonder the Americans are falling off a flat earth! 6 presidential candidates actually think the world is only 6000 years old!

  • This medicine produces alarming behavioral side effect in children.Aggression, sadness & depression, nightmares, hallucinations and general personality changes. Many kids show straight ADHD symptoms. The same side effects as well as suicidal thoughts are reported in adults but the problem is, very young kids can't tell you how awful they feel, only act out.Personally, I feel this stuff should be taken off the market but at least, do not give it to kids who are too young to tell you how they feel.

  • Montelukast can be used to treat mild to moderate asthma and it can prevent tightness of the chest often experienced by asthmatics. Headaches and abdominal pain appear as side-effects in less than 1 in 10 persons. Other possible but less common side-effects include: thirst, dry mouth, diarrhoea, agitation, indigestion, tummy upset, and an increased tendency to bleed or bruise.

  • @bchrismar I agree with you....2 years ago I had asthma like symptoms from an infection and doctor gave me Singulair....I never took it. I just exercised and took some antibiotics..My asthma was gone and I went to the doctor again...He was upset because I was cured.

  • Do not take this drug. I repeat, do not take this drug. Just google the side effects and you'll see why.
