Peter Coyote narrates new documentary by Oscar-nominated Producer. RECLAIMING Their VOICE (filmed in New Mexico) follows the stories of two communities of Native Americans - one, an urban group representing many tribes; two, an intimate visit with members of the Laguna Pueblo. The film shows how these groups become informed and take stands in order to address serious voting issues. Their stories capture a microcosm of minority voter awareness and activism taking root across the United States. Scenes follow the Pueblo Revolt; the Sacred Alliance for Grassroots Equality's work to preserve Petroglyph National Monument; the Laguna tribe's groundbreaking voter registration drive; and the passage of legislation to support Native American voting rights. These stories demonstrate how communities are working together to ensure safer elections for everyone.
