Dr. Barro, the Paul M. Warburg Professor of Economics at Harvard University, is a renowned economist who has written extensively on macroeconomics and economic growth. His most recent research focuses on the interplay between religion and political economy and the impact of rare disasters on asset markets
The Henry George program, sponsored by the Economics and Finance Department and the Xi chapter of the International Economics Honor Society, is named after Henry George, a nineteenth-century American economist and social reformer with a special interest in justice issues. Lectures presented in this series do not necessarily represent the same economic philosophies of Henry George.
