It's natural for your hand to do that in anything like beatboxing or dancing, it's a second nature thing that helps keep tempo and create the illusion of feeling more participated in what you're doing and help you feel like you're creating the beat with an invisible object it's like when people beatbox they enact like they're doing something like in some videos it showed a person plugging and unplugging sound systems to create effects.
