Retired Mexican-American chef Martin Naranjo shares an L.A. home with his three gorgeous, but single, adult daughters. Though he long ago lost his ability to taste, Martin still lives to cook incredibly lavish dinners for his loved ones and to serve them in a family-style ritual at traditional sit-down meals. Although the women humor their father's old-fashioned ways, each of them is searching for fulfillment outside the family circle. College student Maribel is growing increasingly frustrated with the singles scene and wants a steady man; gorgeous career woman Carmen is fed up with her boyfriend and his wandering eye; meanwhile, eldest daughter Letitia, who has suppressed her own romantic longings, senses something missing in her life. Things take a turn for the romantic when Dad, a widower, meets a vivacious divorcee on the lookout for a mate and each of his daughters, in turn, finds someone. But they'll all discover that the recipe for happiness may call for some unexpected ingredients.

  • @oakwoodx88 you learn a little about the culture of Mexican Americans and how traditions from a native born hispanic person can carry over to their American born children...i think it's a legit way to learn some things in a fun way...spanish class isn't just learning the language, it's learning the culture too

  • what??? where are the tortillas??? a beautiful table with some many delicious dishes but I don't see tortillas jajajaja

  • "...just tell him Im sick or something....Spence is taking me sailing..." Typical bitch. Im a female but I cant stand materialistic chicks. Fuck that.

  • @MinecraftFreaksGandJ That answer is fair enough, but I'm still wondering how does this movie teach Spanish or whatever? What lesson do you receive from a comedy romance movie?

  • @oakwoodx88 oh and we all can't just "go home and watch it" Some people may not have internet access or don't have Netflix, possibilities of the coming on TV is slim...

  • @oakwoodx88 uh no? Hope you know we had like 20 questions and while we watched we had to answer them in Espanol plus it was right before a day we were out of school and Thanksgiving break was next week. He didn't have anything for because we had a test the previous day. How is that lazy? I'm not in grade school. These chances are very slim. Being in one of the best High Schools in the World, more than likely, would make us lazy because we watch one movie? Okay, assume random things all you want.

  • @MinecraftFreaksGandJ I hear that more often, I saw this or that movie in school, etc. But why would they show you this movie in class? I don't get it. You have a lazy teacher? Couldn't they just say go home and watch it and write a paper, if there's really anything to be gleaned from a comedy romance film in the first place. School getting lazy today?

  • watched this in spanish class! great movie really enjoyed it

  • БНТ, като Обществена медиа, трябва да показва този и други подобни филми всеки месец за да видят на българите как живеят хора по света |
