Newt Gingrich to America: Let's Start A Moon Colony!

Despite the tanking of America's economy, Newt Gingrich made a campaign promise today that it is in our best interest to start a lunar colony on the moon. Inhabitants can petition to become a state when they reach 13,000 people.
In other news, Herman Cain acknowledges that he was using Pokemon quotes during debates and speeches.

He doesn't care about the moon. He just wants to make sure we don't turnover space to china and russia. He wants to switch funding to the private industry developing the tech. That is reallistic. The private folks, need to put satelites up for communication etc. They should develop the rockets too.

Do any of you know a thing about the moon? Yes I support Ron Paul, and yes Newt wants to start moon bases for the wrong reasons. However do some research on Helium 3 and Thorium, both are clean sources of fuel, both can be found on the Moon and Helium 3 can't be found in useable amounts here on Earth, but millions of tons of it can be found on the Moon. Imagine if everyone on Earth could have clean energy for free, if we made the Moon base for the right reason it would be worth it!
