A message presented by Pastor Stephen Bohr, defending the doctrine of the state of the dead. A much important sermon if you want to defend the state of the dead. Also, I encourage to visit and support the Ministry that made this presentation available, from the following link, where more good presentations are available from;

[...] He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords,
who only hath immortality [...] 1 Timothy 6:15,16

"For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.

Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest." Ecclesiastes 9:5,6,10

"But the rest of the dead did NOT live again UNTIL the thousand years were finished." Revelation 20:5

"Marvel not at this; for the hour is coming in which all that ARE in the graves shall hear His voice
and shall come forth -- they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life, and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation." John 5:28,29

"These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep." John 11:11
"Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead." John 11:14
"Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day." John 11:24

The Bible tells us that the dead goes to sleep after death, awiting either the first or the second resurrection of the dead.

  • @26yashurik26 our souls are mortal not immortal. the spirit You are talking about is the breath of life it is simply the energy and breath God gave every living breathing created being. we are mortals seeking immortality. God only has immortality.

  • @26yashurik26 That is the record that God is recording. The (soul) is who we are, our lives. Also soul can denote emotions, like when Mary said "My soul doth magnify the Lord...". So we have to take everything into context in which the word soul is used

  • @26yashurik26 You do not study period

  • 26yashurik26 You do not study...

  • Im sorry Stephan Bohr, but you are missing somthing called a soul. Body, Soul and Spirit. Body goes to dust. Spirit is from God and goes back to God. But there is also another part of you called the soul and THAT is your mind your thoughts. That is the part of you that makes you, YOU. Wow the stuff this guy is teaching does not compare to the Bible, if you look at all of scripture. Scary.

  • The Bible is not Jesus but a description of Jesus. The Bible is not the bread and the wine nor is Jesus.
