It's a nice (Pop) song, but it was labeled country because at the time (out of the 1980's), it paid to be a country artist.

@emmzy6 I totally agree, it seems like country music these days are going down the toilet, and not many people seem to care, because horrible songs keep rising to ' number one.' I don't think the 'charts' matter anymore, because it's mostly garbage. Awesome song here!!!!
