  • I made three mistakes involving the separatory funnel.

1.) Not removing the stopper: This caused the air to bubble through the layers from the bottom stem.

2.) Shaking the Separatory Funnel: I was careless and broke the bottom stem.

3.) I pulled on the stopcock as I was turning it: This caused some of the solvent to leak out through the side of the funnel.

I have learned from my mistakes the hard way. I am sharing this so that you might not repeat my errors.

  • YOU, my dear friend, are my ORGANIC LAB LIFEBOAT!

  • Great videos! Wish I had watched them sooner... I made all the possible mistakes when I did this lab... didn't even know what an emulsion was until now. But what causes it? If the two layers are immiscible, what does the emulsion consist of?

  • sooooooooo how do I make LSD

  • I liked your video very much.

  • Good job on your video I liked it very much!

    thank you

  • What is the composition of the aqueous layer you used in this extraction?
