Easily explained: Mercedes-Benz has two big models, ML and GL. The GLK is a smaller version of the GL. The GLK is built on the C-Class length, and is therefor very short, for a SUV. Somebody calls it the son of the famous G-wagen, but that is not true. The GLK is the son of GL. G-wagen (Geländewagen), will always be here, son-less.

The GLK350 sucks. Mercedes has had years to build a car to beat the X3 and they failed. Car and Driver just proved it. BMW's 6 year old X3 is still a better vehicle. When the new X3 comes out, M-B is screwed. They'll have to literally give the GLK away to sell any. Fuck they're ugly too.
