@whey12345 I think that, while the concept of all uke being offensive is ideal, it is over-emphasized by some people and under-emphasized by others. My personal belief is that uke can be either offensive or defensive, so long as you are "receiving" an attack in the process (the definition of "uke").

All heian kata are meant to be offensive so the bunkai should demonstrate no reaction blocks! Naughty!!!

Very nice. So many people put too much focus, on just "learning" the techniques and moving on to the next kata. I can see that you guys actually explore the applications, and not just turn it into a dance. This is very nice to see, and I like your ideas. I believe that Funakoshi had his specific Bunkai in mind. But I also believe that, its OK if a person can think of another application for the same technique, and share. That is the evolution of karate, as it should be. Thanks for sharing. Oss
