Foo Fighters - The Pretender
This is my drum cover of The Pretender by Foo Fighters, played on the Roland TD-12 V-Drums.
I tried to keep the drumming fairly close to the original as I was playing over the master recording (not a drumless version!).

Great cover! Thanks for posting. I was thinking of the TD-9 but i think you just convinced me the TD-12 sounds much more natural even with the older ROM.

Uploaded my first a few days ago but got a lot of work before I'm chopping like that.
Do you have drumless versions of the music or just play over the original track? and do you learn the parts by just playing along or do you have sheet music?

Hey - thanks very much! I'll check out your vid shortly too.
All of the covers i've done so far have been played over the original track - I don't use sheet music, so I learnt the parts by listening to the song, playing along etc.

You're one of my favorite drummers to watch on Youtube. Outstanding..Are those stock TD-12 sounds?

Hopefully i'll get some more covers up soon.
They are indeed stock TD-12 sounds, but I chopped, changed, and messed about with them a bit - I think I used the 'custom' kit as a starting point though...

Well...that's entirely up to you, I can't decide that one i'm afraid! ;O)
A new one will probably come out at some stage, I picked up mine second hand (but as new) for a bargain so it was an easy decision for me.
