That was so beautiful. With the billions of needy people in the world, I just couldn't imagine bringing another child into this world of my own flesh and blood. It breaks my heart to see ANY human suffer, and if my time and energy is going to be extended to anyone, it will be to those who need it most. I just wish more parents would opt for adoption.

@TheTravelfool - WRONG - at least for China - the costs are spread out over several years and do not come to $40K. The vast majority of adoptive parents are not rich at all - they simply do what ever it takes to bring their children home.

I bet there are a lot of loving families out there but it's too expensive to adopt and people don't qualify because there are so many requirements.

One day,When I get older, i might adopt a little girl from china as well. I always wanted to share my love and bring a child who would never had a chance in the americas.

I wouldn't mind adopting a little girl right now. I have 2 girls already, in a stable relationship ( 7 year anniversary last July), have my own business with a nice big house on a nice big property. We are not rich but make a good living. My problem lies in the thousands and thousands of dollars plus the months or even years it takes to go through the process. That's what keeps good loving parents away.
