I coach little leaguers as well as an AAU u14 team, and I cant tell you how many times parents just ruin the game for kids. Its either they're afraid to learn something that goes against what their dad (incorrectly) taught them, or they're taught to blame everyone but themselves when they play badly or the team loses. Even worse is many parents attitude towards sportsmanship. Let the kids play!!

i wish i saw this video when i played little league

I never did this to my kids teams and hated the coaches that did. I think I coached my assistants as much if not more than the kids!

We used to play pick up games of baseball in the outdoor hockey rink in summer in Minnesota. If you hit it over the boards it was a home run and every minute of those games with my friends was a blast. But I used to feel literally sick to my stomach when my dad would take me to play a little league game. One angry dad who was a first base coach was directing his players to plow me over if I ever (accidentally) stepped in the base line again. And they were already totally stomping our team.

I umpired for little leaguers and seriously that was my worst job. I loved the game and everything but those fathers...

LOL...I LOVE IT!!!

LOL The irony is what makes this funny.
I've never thanked my dad for not being one of those guys. I should do that.
