doesnt matter what he says, he heads an illegitimate organization. the ONLY reason he wants talks with the Chinese government, is so that his illegal group looks legit.
THATS why China doesnt talk to them. which gives him the opportunity to pretend to be reasonable and go 'why wont they even talk to us'?
yes, this can easily sway simple minded americans. wont change anything though in Tibet. it NEVER will. get used to wasting your time.

He sounds like he is in the La La land sitting there comfortably and looking at world problems through vernacular. He is not living in he's words he speaks. Just chant, pray and waiting to get enlightened. Middle way is form of DECEPTION Beings who can't say black or white for their own safety choose middle way. GRAY area.

Since dalai lamas did not rule all Tibet and Tibetans before or during modern state system, the 14th Dalai Lama does not speak for all Tibetans. Moreover, a religious and political fraud, the failed illegitimate theocratic Tibetan government and the deceived Tibetans in exile funded by rogue western powers and delusional cold war propagandists neither have the legal and constitutional juristiction nor the qualifications to speak for the cultural and political interest of Tibetans.

Because of a long history of Tibetan sectarian and warlord violence in addition to a brutal unjust inhumane political social caste system, neither the homogeny of Tibetan political and cultural autonomy the HH Dalai Lama spoke of in his Middle Way existed, nor can the Tibetan Buddhist theocracy, practices, or culture (of the three Tibetan masters) he wanted to maintain be considered peaceful and compassionate.

With Tibetan heritage preserved and Tibetan self-determination and basic human rights realized as well as the Chinese national defense strengthened and unified, Tibet in 50 short years also has become a beacon of democracy and economic progress. So, why speak about an approach when the path has already been followed for fifty years and results materialized?

A strong Chinese national security and defense did not conflict with Tibetan identity and freedom in1950 and still does not today. The middle way the Dalai Lama is speaking of is the same jointly negotiated and signed 17 Point Agreement for the Peaceful Liberation of Tibet which he repudiated 8 years subsequently but fought for and carried out by Tibetans of all classes and 55 other non-Tibetans Chinese.
“The spirit of Tibetans living inside Tibet is very strong.
The Tibetans in exile have put in place a healthy democratic institution in both temporal and spiritual fields. So we are very much prepared.
• The actual problem comes from the Chinese government and not its people. Within the Chinese government there are different sorts of opinions.
• If the Hardliners' way of thinking changes,
• Tibet's problem will find a solution within a few days.”
• Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.

We don't like or repect him.
He is a traitor to his motherland:Tibet and China.
He betrayed the sacred promises he made in Lhasa and Binjing.
He cheats to both the Tibetan people and Han people.
He spreads the misplaced hatred between Tibetan and Han people.
