Joe Gomez on Repairing Barstow's Streets

On October 23, 2008 Barstow High School sponsored a Candidate Forum which featured all of the Council and Mayor Candidates who are currently running for the Barstow City Council.

The event was moderated by Mark Hassel, a teacher at Barstow High School, and was well attended by students, teachers, parents, and members of the Barstow community.

At the beginning of the forum each candidates was allowed two minutes to introduce themselves. Following the introductions the candidates were asked questions by the students and the others in the audience.

This video is Joe's response to the question of what he would do to fix our aging streets. Barstow's streets are riddled with potholes and in desperate need of repair. As part of Joe's campaign he had made street repair a central platform of his run for Mayor. Joe has made it his goal to literally run on every street in Barstow which he credits for his weight loss.
