World Business: Currently, less than 1% of trade between Europe and Asia is carried by road along the Silk Route which, a thousand years ago, was the main trade artery of the world. However, efforts are now underway to create a land bridge on the Eurasian continent, not only to connect the economic powers of Europe and China, but to provide development and opportunities for the many landlocked countries in between.
