Any Given Thursday is a live by John Mayer, recorded in Birmingham, Alabama on September 12, 2002, during the Room for Squares tour. The album quickly peaked at #17 on the Billboard 200 chart. It features mostly songs from Room for Squares, but also features "Something's Missing", which appeared on Heavier Things, his following album, and "Comfortable" from his original EP, Inside Wants Out. The live album also features "Man On The Side" (co-written with Cook) and "Covered in Rain", neither of which had ever been released on a studio recording. "Covered in Rain", according to a documentary included in the DVD release, is "part two" of the song "City Love", which features the line, "covered in rain." The concert features songs previously not heard, such as "Something's Missing", which later appeared on Heavier Things and (as of 2007) is the only song to have appeared on every live release.

  • its funny how the premise of this song has become outdated, now that no one actually prints off their pictures and mails them. i still love the song though

  • OMG OMG I LOVE JM! :)

  • At 1:15 he is giving that guitar an orgasm. :)

  • john has the coolest outfit ever who performed on stage. simple look, plain colored shirt, faded jeans. thats the way how he rocks his fans and whoever gonna like him. JOHN MAYER for sure is the best singing artist with compassion to his songs. proud to be JM's fan. yeah! :)

  • @tylerpadge hes rubbing the side of his pick against the wound strings, you know the E-A-G strings, and it makes that sound

  • how does the electric guitar player make that sound in the begining? he's like scratching his pick against the string

  • hes most definately high for the duration of that song

  • everytime i heared this song i felt so much feelings and almost cried, didnt know why. today i search for the letter in spanish (cause i speak spanish) and i still dont know why this song makes me feel nostalgic, hahaha. but is BEAUTIFUL! i love the melody, the lyrics, and john's voice. John, eres un grande :)

  • @tasminforsure ...Hedges...Yep. Forgot about him....
