  • Am playing this on my psp ^^ but... there doesn't seem to be any voices O.O

  • @UnamedKing I'm guessing that you are running the floppy disk version rather than the CD-ROM.

  • Where did you get this version of scumm? I have a version claimed to be 0.14.0, but the menu looks different (just simple green frames with no graphics - if it helps: "ScummVM 0.14.0svn41610 Jun 17 2009" ) and Kyrandia doesn't work on this, I have to play it with DosBox which is pretty slow and uncomfortable.. thx for help :)

  • @Johnosssss The link is in the description. If you don't want the music hacks you could get a later version from the scummvm website either.

  • 9pix9, did you have any issues with the kyra.dat file in scummvm? i keep receiving an error message whenever i try to run the game. whether it be through windows scumm or psp scumm i still receive a message complaining of a missing or corrupt kyra.dat. Also, where did you get the game files?

  • I've had that problem with the latest version from a couple of days ago. If you use the older 0.14.0 release it should be ok.

You also need to copy the kyra.dat in the scummvm folder into your kyrandia folder.

  • Pretty nice. Bit of a polyphony issue with the Treeface track. That could have been avoided. Also, it might have been better to record at a lower level to avoid clipping. But I see this was your first soundtrack.

Anyway, I'm glad you gave the MT-32 more exposure. It seems most people who remember this era remember it as having mediocre sounding music because they never heard the MT-32's fantastic sound. It probably had something to do with its high price at the time.

  • @9Pix9 Thanks :D

  • @9Pix9 Yeah I found out after I did some web researching ^^'. This game brings back memories XD

  • my favorite game of all time.

  • @9Pix9 oops didn't notice, sorry for being so dumb :P
