This is me playing Stevie Wonders Superstition. I found the original vocals and played a chord progression over it. Instead of going with the original Eb minor, I made it a major. From there I just made up stuff. Played on a Rhodes Mark II (DI).

Hier speel ik Superstition van Stevie Wonder. Ik vond de originele vocalen van Stevie zelf en speelde hierover een akkoorden progressie in Eb majeur ipv Eb mineur. Ik heb het ingespeeld op een Rhodes Mark II

  • I didn't like this at first. Then read the comments and your responses, and you have well and truely justified this version....and now I really like it. Very soothing. Well done pal!

  • @sd06vhl Thanks!

  • @titus4ya Thing is: I'm a musictheoryteacher now and I believe there's nothing wrong with changing chords when a pentatonic melody is sung. I even teach other musicians that it's possible to do that. You may or may not like it, but that is taste. It has nothing to do with musictheory if you like it or not. Some people just don't like songs they know being changed that much. Allthough I can play the 'normal' version, I liked it better this way - just a other point of view for this song!

  • @titus4ya Nothing wrong with a reharm!

EASY TO WRIGHT SOMETHING ON YOUTUBE , BUT HARDER TO POST A VIDEO WITH SOMETHING ORIGINAL!! PS PLAYIN WITHOUT DRUMS IS NOT THAT EASY, BIG UP MAN REALLY TIGHT GROOVE!!!
