majoro carroll you gotta use the tiny button by the loop name to drag it to the arrange window, then turn the drum machine off so the loop the plays and ultra beat dosnt carry on ad-nauseam. took me ages to work that last bit out!

@joe9090joe When you click the + button you should get 8 stereo channels and 8 mono. Make sure you've selected the correct setting when you create the Ultrabeat (there are a couple of options).

How do I keep the 'step' edits in place - as I click out of the step edit where you can change pitch of samples etc, the edits I've made are no longer in place and the sample reverts back to it's original setting.

Yup, when you go between Voice and Step you can't hear the changes you've made in Step mode, i.e. to the pitch.
BUT when you drag and drop your drum beat into the arrange window, all your changes are stored in that MIDI part.

Firstly, make sure you've created a multi-output Ultrabeat rather than single output.
Then, click on the + on the channel strip and this will add all the UB channels you need.
Hope that helps!

Nice work man, thanks! This'll sound dumb, but when you are dropping UB patterns into the arrange window, is it into MIDI, Instrument, or Audio tracks?

hi
sorry for not getting back to you sooner. you drop the UB pattern into an MIDI track - one that's got the Ultrabeat already setup on it.
