@creaton1976 Not true! If you're registered in a Member State's health system, even if you're not an EU citizen, you get the card as well!

Why would people need a continental Health Care card, the European Union is not officially not a country yet. National Health Care cards should be enough.

Why do you think that let people buy insurance across state lines will decrease your stratospheric medical bills? And most importantly ... What's wrong with let that people choose one public choice? Nobody will ban you continue with your private health insurer!

you don't need it on the beach just at your hotel. you will be treated and then later show your card and you will be covered.

If it's good, all the credit goes to the national government. But if it's bad, then this is because of Brussels.

what bollocks! Americans are not "free" nor is it the land of the free, if you're black, gay or any other ethnic minority you people persecute them to hell. Further if you adopted a similar helath care system as europe those who cannot afford insurance could get the treatment they need rather than suffer in pain and neglect. For such a big country America hides it's poverty well.
