Power is an apologist for US power and violence and her book on genocide scrupulously ignores and downplays US responsibility in the Guatamelan genocide, the Suharto mass slaughter of 1965-66, and the Indonesian genocide in East Timor. Power mentions East Timor, but says the US "looked away" from Indonesian crimes there. A a Soviet commissar would have blushed at such a statement. The United States didnt look away, it supplied Indonesia with weapons and arms. That's participation.
