In this video Lee Morris of fstoppers.com teaches you how to make your Nikon D300s files work with Adobe Premiere CS4 using a Blackmagic plugin called multibridge.

  • I've got Premiere Pro 1.5 and it works perfectly fine as-is with my D300s movie files. Your video tutorials should be more about providing information and less about looking stylish.

  • Where can I see one of your edited videos? I find it hard to believe there is no ghosting.

  • @FStoppers I have a full selection of frame rates when setting up my project in Premiere Pro 1.5 (and any other version I've used, for that matter) so I find it hard to believe that only one version can work. I don't make most of my videos public, but I suppose I may do so so you can see an example.

  • @sexualburgerking Yes I can choose 24fps as well but it just never worked right until I installed this "multibridge" software. I am by no means a pro at this... I have only been doing the video thing for the last 3 months and I am trying to help others out there who were like me. I would love to see your footage to compare. And I will put on an uglier shirt for you in my next video ;)

  • Thank you so much for this tip. I had found the black magic solution for the sequence settings before but had big ghosting issues after exporting for YouTube. Your Apple TV tip did it, works perfectly.

Many thanks for taking the time to post this. -BC

  • i guess i finally lucked out with nle solutions.

i can open my d300s files in windows movie maker, vegas pro 8, magix etc.

i haven't had any problems whatsoever.

the mjpeg files that i was so apprehensive about before i bought my camera are basically universal in my experience.

i shoot, plug it in and export.

i haven't found anything they won't open, edit, render or publish in.

  • I have a mac... I already downloaded the software but I don't have the same options that you are showing in this video and it is not working with the clips of the nikon D300s. Do you have any ideas of what can I do?

  • @sexualburgerking What is the relevance of that comment? If anything, the stylish quality of their videos just show that they are professionals and know what they're doing. As an added note, I'm just getting started with Premiere but I think that CS5 addressed this issue and natively supports DSLR video at 24fps, which is the setting I use for my D90. Like I said, I'm just getting started with the program but it seems to be working smoothly.

  • Gread video! I got premium pro 4 and i downloaded the "multibridge" software, but is still dosnt work. When i put on "blackmagic design - HD720 the "vericam motion-JPEG isnt there. Only the 10 bit and the 8. Do you know why?

  • OK, I put up a sample video. It's certainly nothing special, but it was made entirely without all that extra stuff you'reclaiming is necessary.

Anyway, don't get me wrong... I appreciate what you're doing on here. I just didn't find your 3rd video to be as useful as the other two. I'll try to curb my negativity. I am certainly no professional myself, so I am also figuring this stuff out as I go.
