In Lucky Jim, we are introduced to Jim Dixon, a junior lecturer at a British university who spends his days fending off the legions of malevolent twits that populate the school. His job is in constant danger, often for good reason, for he is at odds with the head professor, attracts the unwanted attention of a fellow instructor and falls in love.
This movie is timeless in its wit! It makes me laugh each time I watch it. The satire illustrated behind England's educational system is priceless!

Thanks so much for uploading. Finished the book a week ago, loved it, the first paragraph of chapter 6 is by far the best description of a handover I have ever read.

granted, this producers have cut some scenes out but officially stephen tompkinson has bought the rights to the book and the book hadnt been adapted for television seen the 60s and is closer to the book than kingsley amis' was.

Thanks also for uploading. I have to say the production strays far from the book in places, even it it conveys the essential message. There are so many classic scenes which are just not used, or are changed out of recognition. I don't understand why producers find the need to change around a wonderful story. examples: Johns did not get together with Margaret at the end (need for happy ending syndrome) and the 'Merrie England' speech had a completely different message.
