Try actually cross researching various subjects (electrical engineering, biology, magnetism, geo-magnetism, electromagnetism, bio-electricity, etc) instead of insisting that these things are completely unrelated and have no bearing on each other. **facepalms** They ARE related to each other, duh! Quit with the scientific elitist crap already!

And it's idiots like that "expert" who clearly do not know what they are doing or talking about. The human body runs on bio-electric current and some people naturally have a higher capacitance level (my mother is one of them). Since electricity generates a magnetic field, the human body also generates a low level magnetic field. The higher the person's natural capacitance, the stronger the magnetic field they will generate.

@Lampersonator magnets can damage information on tape cassettes, VHF, or floppy disks, but DVD's and CD's are optical media. magnetic fields won't hurt them.. peace.
