This is a Time lapse Mesh modeling demonstration of a Guy Fawkes Mask. Conventional mesh modeling techniques are used. Auto Merge Editing is enabled for fast snapping between vertices. Vertex and Edge selection are turned on for faster selection. The Extrude "E" and Fill "F" short cut keys are used extensively. The Spherify "Alt+Shift+S" is used to bend the eye loop. Highly recommend this site for good facial topology reference.

  • @weeliano Can you make a tutorial on how to make a race track? Please? if you can that is.

  • @fanofd17rulez Hi, what kind of race track? Horse or Car? If it is just a textured track, you can just paint a high resolution lane texture and texture map it onto your mesh plane.

  • Do you think that Blender is better than SoftImage?

  • @elewint Every other software packages has its strengths and Softimage XSi is one of them, all of them are very good. My personal opinion is that Blender IS the best totally FREE 3D application now and it is constantly improving and getting better. Eventually everyone is going to use it.

  • Great tut but do you know about the screen cast key add on. It seems like it would be useful for a time lapse like this.

  • @imtifade Yes I have used screen cast before, but it doesn't show all the mouse or keypresses so I prefer to use my own setup using OSD hotkey and HyperCam's keypress display.

  • @magnicthecracken Blender is totally different from After Effects. Blender is for 3d modeling, rendering and animation (Also gamemaking, but I'm pretty sure Unity 3D is better at that.) Adobe After Effects is for layer-based compositing. If you want to make 3d things, then of course Blender is better. But After Effects is a MUCH better compositor than Blender!

  • @elewint blender because t can make a 3d game and blender is better than adobe after effects!

  • @elewint I'm just curious

  • I love you.
