I always thought Liberace could "play a bit" but I never realised he was as good as this.

@Andjiokaja Joscho Stephan i far from flamboyant. He is German, and as most Germans he is not very juicy. Besides Gypsyjazz is not the scene for Liberace-like shows.

Lee was the greatest piano player for his time. He knew what the listener wanted and gave it to them. He was the best performer for his time. Too bad that he did not live longer and played on some of the newer piano's, the sound only gets better. No other like him and his playing will live on.

He had quite an excellent technique. Interestingly, he played from the hand knuckles rather than from the fingers per se. Very few pianist can achieve this - look at Michelangeli's hand movement and you'll see what I mean.
