Its Riccia Fluitans held down with some mesh. Its a relatively easy plant to grow.

@aznboi701 you can put the Riccia on either some slate, or as i did, some wire mesh (stainless steel), then hold in place with a hair net. It does need trimming regularly though

Its petrified wood, and it was from a local LFS. They are available from a few online shops. If you are UK based they have them in Aqua Essentials.
