saw this show in 1980. loved the little r2d2 type robot come out at the start. these songs brought tears to my eys, as, it was so near John's passing. Had tix to see them in Cleveland on 9/12/01, unfortunately because of a Big mishap, all flights were grounded, then they cancelled the rest of the tour. damn

@godmaderockandroll4u Thats unfortunate to hear. I don't know why Jeff Lynne ever decided not to try doing something ELO related after 2001 because they were just great! Unfortunately ELO has never gotten the respect they clearly deserve and I was born too late (1995) to experience them with everybody else.

@BlazefireBootlegs it was not only because of the twin towers, i heard ticket sales were poor. they were going to do the show with a brand new updated spaceship stage. i was so looking forward to it

@godmaderockandroll4u That was a big factor and even if they had gone on tour it would have been cut short (possibly) because of George Harrison's death. I don't know but I wish they would have toured again. There is a dvd of them performing in 2001 and it sounded great! But of well I guess we only have the memories now.
