Ah, yes. The Ultradrive automatic transaxle.
People tended to blame this transaxle for being a piece of unreliable junk. But, what usually happens is that, when the fluid is changed, people make the mistake of using the wrong fluid. Instead of the correct Chrysler spec fluid (currently ATF +4), people and service shops used Dexron, which is a GM spec fluid. Makes this transaxle shift funny and, if the fluid not replaced with the right kind, can cause transaxle failure.

It is just so beautiful. I love that overhead console. Why did it have to go? I LOVED THE OVERHEAD CONSOLE.

I love the digital instrument panel as I think it look sos cool! Most of today's so called luxury cars has only analog, not a true luxury feature. This was the best looking 5th Avenue!

I want one now!! :D

I love my 90 Fifth Ave... it has everything except the digital dash and EVIC unit. The only downside is, the load leveling air ride is now a manual fill, and the driver side floor board has "Feet A/C" now due in part its a northern car and the original owners didn't believe in cleaning the salt off the bottom of the car after winter. Still love it though.

@PDALEFATBOI Sounds like you have a bad ECM...or Engine Control Module...it's a little computer box that manages your engine. You can easily get them for cheap on Ebay.
