How to divide a circle into 12 equal slices using a compass

Here is instruction on how to divide a circle into twelve equal slices by using a compass. This is to transform a circle into a template for a 12-step color wheel.
Another method is to use a protractor to make 12 markings that are 30 degrees apart from one another.
