Wash Away Those Years from Creeds album Human Clay.

She came calling
One early morning
She showed her crown of thorns
She whispered softly
To tell a story
About how she had been wronged
As she lay lifeless
He stole her innocence
And this is how she carried on
This is how she carried on

Well I guess she closed her eyes
And just imagined everything's alright
But she could not hide her tears
'Cause they were sent to wash away those years
They were sent to wash away those years

My anger's violent
But still I'm silent
When tragedy strikes at home
I know this decadence Is shared by millions
Remember you're not alone
Remember you're not alone

Well if you just close your eyes
And just imagine everything's alright
But do not hide your tears
'Cause they were sent to wash away those years
Well if you just close your eyes
And just imagine everything's alright
But do not hide your tears
'Cause they were sent to wash away those years
They were sent to wash away those years
Maybe we can wash away those years

For we have crossed many oceans
And we labor in between
In life there are many quotients
And I hope I find the mean
the mean, the mean

Well if you just close your eyes
And just imagine everything's alright
But do not hide your tears
'Cause they were sent to wash away those years
Well if you just close your eyes
And just imagine everything's alright
But do not hide your tears
'Cause they were sent to wash away those years
Maybe we can wash away those years
I hope that you can wash away those years

  • This is music, a story a melody. Not like justin beiber whose first 30 seconds consist of Baby, baby, baby.

  • 3:51 - 4:44 EPIC!!!

  • @Evanthebeachbum The women are raised wrong, look at popular culture/media. They, and men, are raised to think violence against men is acceptable with no consequence. They are raised to think men are disposable. Take a look around. Everything, everything around you is invented, designed, built and governed by men. Not because we 'held women down', but because in the grand scheme of things they didn't 'man up' and contribute. And because men are superior.

  • @Evanthebeachbum Fewer women are worth respecting. They expect respect and show none.

  • @Mruk4 Bullshit. They are manipulative, destructive, emotional chaotic, bullshitting, attention-seeking tornados.

  • I know I'm going to get dislikes for splitting hairs, but the lyrics, "he stole her innocence" always led me to believe this was about a child, which only makes it 1000 times worse.

  • yeah i know how all that feels... i went through it with allmyboyfriends

  • My life is torn, yet my mind is made.

My thoughts alone may never be swayed.

Bless this heart underneath my skin,

and all of those that reside within.

Hold us tight, and take our fears

and wash them away with your Holy tears

    :)

  • @Evanthebeachbum Yup, I know what you mean... I'd tear apart every single motherfu***r who doesn't show women respect they truly deserve. Not to mention what I'd love to do to all of guys who abuse women. I much prefer buying new clothes with my fiance to watching a footbal match or having a beer with a bunch of folks.

Every single guy should really pay respect to women, they are far better than we are! :)

  • @xRisexFromxThexAshes yeah i believe in woman having get no respect anymore. to many pigs and douche bag assholes not respecting them. i respect woman no matter what.
