Yamaha Portasound PSS-270 Keyboard

Demo of a rather nice little yamaha board in excelent condition even though it must be 20 odd years old with no original box. It has 100 FM voices which are surprisingly good It only has mini keys but these work perfectly. It takes 6 C cell batteries but runs off the ubiquitous 9V adapter.

A guy i knoiw has one of these he will sell me for 20$ american but the power cord is broke? it runs on the batteries but he said the power cord is bad. Should i skipp the purchase?
