Pagan Sexuality - The Druids Reply

In July 2007 a tacky programme called Trinny and Suzanna Undress the nation was filmed for ITV 1. They used the pagan site The Wilmington Giant aka The Long Man of Wilmington in Sussex to convert it to a woman with several hundred woman dressed in what looked like radiation suits. The custodians of the figure The Sussex Archaeological Society allowed the desecration to go ahead and should be discusted. Lets hope the Forces of Nature don't curse those responsible. Here the Druids have their say.

I totally agree with you. I'm Kevin, the person who put this video up. I'm the Witch not a Druid and I thought their antics were silly! The Sussex Archaeological Society wouldn't have given permission for this to go ahead if they feared damage to the figure or surrounding area. It came across as a fun item and as far as I am concerned the programme makers acted in a thorougly competent manner. WELL SAID.

I'd agree in general that we all need not to forget our sense of humor. Assuming that the people who chose this location were say... Christian or Muslim I'd imagine going to one of their sites of religious location and doing a show that wasn't tasteful or possibly borderline disrespectful and they wouldn't appreciate it. Basically it's in bad taste that they did that. They can generally get away with these things because Paganism in general doesnt have the firepower behind it as say Christianity

What the hell has the Long man got to do with Druids? It's most likely a depiction of a horned follower of Woden with his two spears. Look at the Anglo Saxon buckle from Finglesham. Basically the same figure. You're all fake Druids anyway, start doing some human sacrifices.

Angry Druids? You have brought shame on other Druids because of your petty gripe. Druidry is about peace, community and nature. We have no right to claim land over others or to impose our beliefs on others. These ladies were making a stand for feminism and you put them down. Shame on you!

Can someone please explain what is taking place? Who are all the people in white marching up and down the hill figure and how come their blood is not being spilled in order to appease the gods? Are they Christian or some kind of KKK? Sacrifice them all, I say. It'll be good for the crops.

Regardless of how one may feel about the druids or pagans in general, defacing another religion's sacred site is inexcusable!

@SummernlightningUSA the vicars and priests of modern times. The murders where either the Roman army in heart of Ceasor or where killed as willing sacrifices or prisoners to the county. It is no secret that the ancient druids practised ritualized cannibalism, though at least they did no hide the names of peadophiliac priests, rapists and sex offenders..all who happen to be in the Catholic church. Nor do pagan people have history of warring with another religion because they disliked them.
