My final project in Engine Based Design at Columbia College Chicago.

My game is called QA, and in it, you, the player, are testing an experimental virtual reality game which you cannot wake up from until completing the game. But the game is very broken, and you have to fix it to get out.

If you want to play it, http://www.megaupload.com/?d=OV4AJ0WG

The primary mechanic is "extracting" collision code from objects and inserting it into another.

On the one hand, collision code enables you to stand on platforms, on the other hand, a wall with collision code can block your way. So you have to decide which walls and platforms need it, and which can do without.

Sorry about the small text, I know it's hard to read, but it's much easier to read with a full screen. The game makes MUCH more sense if you can read the GUI.

  • Dude are you like a programmer and a musician? Dang you're awesome if you're ever in the neighborhood we got to do a brief interview or video collaboration.

  • @ZHX1138 aww, thanks dude! Well, because of the Unity engine I really only had to do "scripting" which is similar to programming but not as much work, i.e. I didn't have to write the program that draws the graphics and a lot of the physics was handled for me. I would love to do a collab some time! Let me know if you're in Chicago.

  • Looks cool to me! Any chance you could release a version we could play?

  • @Supersoradude check the description, there's a megaupload link where you can download and play my glitch-- I mean game.

  • Haha this is a very clever idea. Pretty cool!

  • @jkunblade Thanks very much! I wish I had the know-how to make it prettier. But at least it works!
