Legalize pot smoking, senators say

Should pot be sold at corner stores to anyone over 16? Some of Canada's most senior politicians think so. The Senate Special Committee on Illegal Drugs final report says marijuana is less harmful than alcohol and should be governed by the same sort of rules. And it recommends wiping clean the record of anyone already convicted of possession. The Canadian Police Association calls the report "a back-to-school gift for drug pushers."

no way to regulate individual use. People can't go to work drunk, so same with this. You can determine your blood alcohol level quickly. This returns to normal within one day (I'm talking about AFTER the handover). But how can you tell with a drug? There is no blood drug test that shows results within minutes like a alcohol breath test. This stays in a persons system too long and no one would be able to regulate it like alcohol. The reason it's not legas in the US in 2011? Can't regulate it.

i like to smoke weed........alot. but alas i work for walmart dc and they have mandatory random drug testing. so i dont want to loose a good paying job. sometimes i wish i was towley from south park.......oh man i'd get so high.

see of course they want to legalize it, and not decriminalize it. cuz if its legal then they can sell and tax the shit out of it, so itll be like 15 bucks a gram in stores most likely. and itll probably be shitty kyfe, not potent in the least, so ill stick with my dealer thanks

Randy White is a wuss. There have been more than one task force financed by the Canadian Government and they all say legalize. Canada is just scared of the USA. Ashamed to be a Canadian on this issue.
