  • If the ramp is too short, you fall off. Check before you back down if there is no sign. Local knowledge can help, or a dinghy and a pole.

  • Yes, it's a Columbia 7.6 Widebody Supercruiser. We built the trailer for a customer, but the same can be done with larger boats (and smaller) as well. You just need enough ramp and enough truck.

  • that's some exciting stuff. i usually back the truck in till the windshield wipers won't keep the lakewater off anymore, then i know i'm deep enough.

  • What happens when the boat ramp is too short? You cannot see the end of it.
