Are You Going to the Ball? was made in 1987. It focuses on Elvira Saadi (former Olympic champion) and her gymnasts: Tatiana Groshkova, Tatiana Chernova, Marina Goryunova and Natalia Novozhilova. It also features former champions Ludmilla Tourischeva, Olga Korbut and Tamara Lazakovich; there's an interview with Aleftina Pryakhina as well.

Sorry about the quality... There's a better version available here, but without subtitles.

  • @julmastra It was an interview with Aleftina Pryakhina, the girl shown vaulting in the end.

  • Oh ok! That makes sense! Thanks!

  • @julmastra they were re-acting an interview with a gymnast (Elena Shushunova, im pretty sure) so when they said that about wanting to go to the world cup it was Elena "answering" the "interviewer's" question.

  • I dont understand whats going on at the end? With the girl talking about how she got picked and wants to go to the world cup. Could someone explain?
