President Obama tried not only to comfort the families and friends of those killed or injured in the Tucson, Arizona shootings, but also tried to calm the angry political discourse that may have spawned the shooting of Representative Gabrielle Giffords. Notable quotes: The six people who lost their lives on Saturday -- they too represented what is best in us. Heroism is here, all around us, in the hearts of so many of our fellow citizens, just waiting to be summoned. we need to be talking in a way that heals, not in a way that wounds. For the truth is that none of us can know exactly what triggered this vicious attack...what thoughts lurked in a violent mans mind. what we can't do is use this tragedy as one more occasion to turn on one another. That we cannot do. We are reminded that in the fleeting time we have on this earth, what matters is not wealth, or status, or power, or fame --but rather, how well we have loved, and what small part we have played in bettering the lives of others. If this tragedy prompts reflection and debate, as it should, let's make sure it's worthy of those we have lost. We may not be able to stop all evil in the world, but I know that how we treat one another - that's entirely up to us. All of us -- we should do everything we can do to make sure this country lives up to our children's expectations.

In the entire 8 years of Bush he added 4 trillion dollars to the national debt, Obama has done that in two. Unemployment has doubled under Obama. The price of gas has doubled under Obama. NO JOBS WERE CREATED IN AUGUST, the housing market is worse, long term unemployment tripled. Ya keep drinking that Obama kool-aid. Also the Bush tax cuts were not for the wealthy they were for everybody(look it up moron.) Also I'm not supporting Ron Paul, his national security ideas are a joke!

How is Sarah Palin responsible for the mess we are in now? I would love to hear this. Bush is in part to blame, I agree with you. I also blame the democrats in the house during the last couple of years of the Bush presidency too. I also greatly blame Obama for the current mess we are in, he is more than 2 1/2 years in, and it's his policies that have added to the mess and the economic crisis were in now. I don't let bias get in the way of my politics, like you do.
